Georgiou Organic Farms, next to the Arachthos River and surrounded by the imposing mountains of Pindus, welcome you on a unique journey back to nature.

Upon arrival, guided by Panagiotis Georgiou and Evita Theocharis, you will get to know the daily life of the farm and the philosophy of organic cultivation.

The experience includes a tour of the farms, planting and harvesting vegetables, collecting fresh eggs, a workshop on making traditional wild greens pie, as well as the possibility of a yogurt or butter-making workshop, depending on the season.

Afterwards, you will enjoy a relaxing walk by the river, discovering local wild herbs and their properties within a peaceful natural landscape.

The experience concludes with an authentic meal prepared with products from the farm. At the same time, children meet the farm animals, take part in creative activities and discover nature through play.

Wine Tourism Experience in Zitsa

Discover the local grape varieties of Epirus.

Zoinos Winery, set on the hills of Zitsa at an altitude of 700 meters and just 26 kilometers from Ioannina, invites you to enjoy an authentic wine tourism experience in a truly distinctive natural landscape.

During your visit, you will discover the wine-growing zone of Zitsa, where the white grape variety Debina and the red varieties Vlahiko and Bekari are cultivated.

The tour includes an introduction to the winery facilities, the cellar, the distillery and the exhibition hall, where the history of winemaking and the village of Zitsa is presented.

The experience concludes with a tasting of wines and spirits, accompanied by Epirotic delicacies. Basic and Premium options are available, with different durations and a different number of wines to taste.

The Women’s Cooperative of Epirus, created by local women with passion and love for tradition, opens its doors and introduces you to the secrets of authentic Epirotic cuisine.

The visit includes a tour of the workshop, an introduction to the history of the cooperative and the opportunity to watch the preparation of traditional delicacies, such as handmade phyllo pies, jams, spoon sweets, trahana and pasta.

At the end of the visit, you will enjoy a tasting of the products and have the opportunity to purchase authentic Epirotic flavors from the cooperative’s exhibition area.

Epirotic Gastronomy

A hands-on experience dedicated to local gastronomy.

We invite you to one of the most elegant and thoughtfully designed venues in Ioannina, where you can enjoy a hands-on experience dedicated to local gastronomy.

At Ktima Theocharis, in Episkopiko, Ioannina, you will discover firsthand how some of the region’s signature dishes are prepared, while taking part in themed workshops dedicated to the gastronomy of Epirus.

The program is shaped according to the season and the availability of fresh products, with dishes prepared using local ingredients sourced from producers and artisans of the region. The experience highlights traditional recipes, Epirotic pies, local cheeses, meats, desserts and flavors that define the area.

The experience concludes with a tasting of traditional dishes and desserts, accompanied by local drinks and wines from the region.
